Understand About the Tech Tree

In FoE, the Tech Tree is your roap through ages, dictating when you can unlock new buildings, units, and city expansions through investing Forge Points (FP) and resources.

Each age, starting from the Stone Age and culminating in the Space Ages, contains a fixed number of technologies that require coins, supplies, and era-specific goods to research.

If you obessed with FoE and want to play it without worrying your phone battery, play Forge of Empires on PC with the best Android emulater LDPlayer.

Tech Tree Planning Strategies

1. Early Game Focus: Production & Popularion

From Stone Age to Iron Age, our cities' growth are all about population like staff residencies and production like coins and supplies.

Prioritize residential tech early on to bump up housing capacity. More population means more supply buildings you can staff. After that, unlock the basic supply buildings and branch out to get what you need most.

2. Mid Game Diversification: Goods & Military

Once you hit the Middle Ages, branch into goods like Dye, Iron, Cloth, and so on, so you can produce or trade for the resources needed by giher-tier buildings and lanmarks.

Also, don’t ignore Barracks and Stable techs, events and PvP on the Guild Expedition map can net you huge rewards if your army is up to par.

One more important point in mid game is balance your FPs. Splitting your FP investments between production, goods, and military keeps you flexible, chasing one path exclusively can leave you resource-starved in another.

3. Late Game Specialization: Maximize FP Efficiency

From the Industrial Age, some late-era technologies cost more FPs but open strong buildings like the Industrial Pavilion. In the late game, we need to consider if the immediate gain outweighs saving FPs for the following era.

Your Town Hall will not level up until you have completed all of the era technologies. So you need to time the era advance, only press the "advance" button when you've unlocked enough technology to purchase and place the current era's signature lanmark.

Age Advancement Tips

Just as the above said, to level up the Town Hall, we need to time the advance. Advancing too quickly can drain resources, but staying too long limits growth. Below are tips for different stages.

1. From Stone Age to Bronze Age

  • Must have: Basic Agriculture, Stone Mason
  • Buidldings: Focus on 5x Huts, 5x Hunter’s Cabins, and 3x Arenas of Victors.
  • Wait to fight: Avoid military until you've built a stable economy. Delete low-tier buildings like Hunter's Cabin later to free space.

2. From Iron Age to Industrial Age

  • Critical Unlocks: Chemical Plant, Ceramics Factory
  • Resource prep: Stockpile 200k+ coins/supplies before upgrading. Build Aqueducts for +10% army stats.
  • Defense: Add Cannon Towers to counter raids.

3. From Industrial Age to Modern Era

  • Game-changers: Electricity, Urban Planning
  • Pro tip: Use guild battlegrounds (GBG) to farm goods for advanced techs like Satellite Communications.

Tech Tree Checklist:

In the top-left of the tree UI, click the box icon to preview all resource and goods requirements for the next Era.

Renovation & One-Up Kits:

Save these to speed up production buildings of your current Era—getting just a few extra goods per day can accelerate your research.

Guild Perks:

Invest in perks that boost goods production and FP income; even a small percentage goes a long way over the course of dozens of techs.

Paticipate the Special Event:

Throughout the year, there are a few unique events associated with each season. Events that have previously occurred include Halloween, Wildlife, and Fellowship, for instance.

By taking part in these exclusive events, you can complete event tasks during the event duration and receive rewards like Forge Points, Diamonds, Blueprints, and different units.

Forge of Empires can drain your phone's battery faster than you can say Forge Points. To play Forge of Empires on PC, use LDPlayer, the best Android emulator specifically designed for gamers.
